Shyness can keep you from talking to someone that you may be romantically interested in. It can keep you from pursuing a career because you may have a fear of what others will think about you.</p>

<p>It is <strong>not impossible</strong> to <b>overcome social anxiety</b>. Many people who struggle with social anxiety believe that this is a problem that they have to deal with for the rest of their lives. They believe that change is impossible. If you alter just a few things, overcoming social anxiety is possible. First, you want to take on any new challenge with a <strong>positive attitude</strong>. You must be able to challenge the limiting beliefs that you have about yourself. Realize that when you have a plan, it makes any task easier than not having a plan. Be willing to step outside of your comfort zone.</p>
<p>If you are trying to change something about yourself or if you are about to take on a new challenge, you want to start off with a positive attitude. If you start off with a negative attitude, you will subconsciously try to find everything that can possibly go wrong. You will sabotage your chances of success.
